Would you like to bring or join a group for either birdwatching, yoga or angling to Basunti?

Basunti overlooks a lake formed from the damming of the Beas River in the north-west corner of India. It lies in the western edge of Kangra Valley in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. The nearest towns are Pathankot just over the border in the Punjab and Dharamsala, the administrative centre of Himachal Pradesh.

Pathankot, a small provincial city, is a 90-minute drive away by jeep from Basunti and has a daily air service from Delhi as well as an overnight train, the Jammu Mail.

Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh religion and famous for its Golden Temple, provides the nearest international airport with Jet Airways flying daily services overnight from London. The transfer to Basunti takes approximately three hours by jeep.
